Overview
Our client is a long-established and successful construction and maintenance business, offering a bespoke design and build service to clients in the private and public sectors. They have built up a large and reputable service division working throughout the UK.
We are looking for an Office Administrator to join an established and friendly team.
Our client is a small, friendly and welcoming business and this position is varied, therefore a flexible approach is required as no two days will be the same. You will work in an open plan office with 2 or 3 others and at times, maybe work alone.
Hours of work are 8 am-4.30 pm or 8.30 am to 5 pm. This is an office-based role.
Daily Tasks to include:
- Admin support for Project Manager and Director
- Screening telephone calls and handling enquiries
- Organising diaries and making appointments
- Dealing with post and e-mail enquiries
- Filing and retrieving information and documents
- Processing orders
- Liaising with other members of staff i.e. engineers, contractors
- Reviewing jobs and escalating where required
- Booking travel and accommodation
- Ordering parts/chemicals with suppliers
- Overseeing deliveries and allocating jobs
- Taking payment for shop sales
- Deployment of jobs to engineers
- Dealing with discrepancies/disputes
- Customer service calls
- Other ad-hoc duties as requested
Person Skills:
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Be able to prioritise
- Excellent administrative skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- Tact and discretion; for dealing with confidential information
Experience in Health & Safety and HR procedures would be advantageous
