Job Description:

We are looking for an internal account manager to join the commercial team in Portsmouth.  As part of the Commercial department your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an allotted customer base, including but limited to:
  • Providing competitive quotes to our customers – both new and existing
  • Processing orders
  • Managing stock
  • Handling any non-compliances that arise – from start to finish and implement corrective actions if required

You will also have a cradle-to-grave approach, taking ownership of new enquiries, and nurturing them through the quotation stage through sample approval and into full supply.

 The ideal candidate will:

  • Be outgoing, positive and have excellent communication skills, particularly on the telephone
  • Have a can-do attitude and be looking to progress within the role
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to be a flexible and supportive member of the team
  • Have good time management, prioritisation, negotiation, and organisational skills
  • Have an ethical approach to business and relationship building
  • Be able to understand and effectively follow company processes and procedure
  • Have a strong desire to improve the supplier/ customer experience
  • Demonstrate strong ability with Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Show willingness for continuous improvement within the role and to go the extra mile across the board
  • GCSE English and Maths at A-C or equivalent
